Heading into this summer I thought it was going to last forever. I had such an amazing first year of college but was ready for a little R&R in my beloved hometown. For the first time ever I had FOUR months to spend doing whatever I wanted, that is SUCH a long time!! Or so I thought. This summer has FLOWN by just as the first year of college did, high school did, and really just life in general (which is super scary by the way like OH MY GOSH). This summer has undeniably been one of the best summers of my life. I am continuing to learn so much about myself, more than I ever imagined I would in such a short time. I spent it with family and friends, went on vacations to places I’ve been and places I haven’t, had the internship of a lifetime (which I now will continue to work for as I head back to school, how cool is that?!!!), and made so many memories I will never ever forget. But inevitably I have reached the point in the summer where I am now ready to go back and see my people. All of my “home friends” have gone back to school and I am ready to take that 3 1/2 hour drive to the Windy City with all of my amazing new apartment decor and get back into my routine. I can’t wait to live with one of my best friends this year, have movie nights with all of my buddies, see my sorority sisters and CHAARG girlies, and get to know my city even better than last year. I know this year is going to be a good one. Stay tuned for all of my incredible adventures during my sophomore year!!
Enjoy my favorite parts and pictures of this summer!
